i feel like i wouldn't do well in open water yet. i don't even have gills. :( it feels very mean.

if i'm going to be stuck in water a lot... why not? that way i can hug my friends better.

Are you sure you don't have them? They don't always look like you expect. Mine are just spiracles.

Fish normally can't move in a way that lets you hug like that exactly. Maybe an eel though? Or some sort of sea snake?

i think i might be part eel... it's really long? and keeps growing. it doesn't really move like what i think a normal fish does, either.

What stops you from that though? Even if you can't breathe underwater, your body is more adapted to swimming right? So you'd be able to stay afloat a lot longer as well.

Eel makes sense then. If you were a sea snake I wouldn't be able to say if you'd get gills or not. Turtles and sea snakes both need air to breathe, so they just surface for that normally, it's not the same as with 'mer'.

Eels have round gills that are pretty similar to spiracles, so maybe you'll get those though?

it is but i guess i'm really tempted to go in deep water but it's annoying that i can't hold my breath? it's silly, really, but i hope that it changes.

oh! i guess that makes sense. haha, sorry... i just never heard that word before. that could be pretty cool, actually. either way i just wonder how long i'm going to be.

You mean you have a dive instinct?

However long it is, it's almost definitely going to be more than a bathtub. You should probably try to be careful.

maybe? i think it's more like... i keep thinking that things seem too bright? that maybe dark, deep water would be better.

[Away from the sun. Dark and deep. Deep under the sea, for example... ...the instincts of a deep sea-dwelling fish are hard to ignore.]

that could be cool! i kind of want to stay in bavan somehow... there's a lot of people that need help...

maybe i can find a park with a pond? but that wouldn't be very deep.

I know it can't be Central Park. It's a mess there.

There should be at least one park where you could pull it off though- some ponds even have synthetic caves, which could offer shade properly.

if i have to, i'll go back to that pool we arrived in. that should be long enough. haha...

i'll try looking. bavan's bigger than any city i've been in, so it should have at least one more park. i've been exploring a bit.
