[Haha,] It's the same for human beings. When you really feel thirsty, it's already past the point where you needed water. It's pretty easy to get mildly dehydrated actually.
Neither did I. I'm a whole turtle, I don't think anyone thought it was possible.
It's not really a home but it's nice to sleep in at least. It's cozy.
