< SPEAKING.IN.TONGUES >
She used the cube to become a slime?
Alright.
So in other words, you need to make it clear from here on that if you spend a certain amount of time with anything, anyone should pull you out.
<Bootyyyshaker9000>
[Hopefully that gives some idea for why he got so obsessed with the place.]
I guess I should do that, yeah.]
< SPEAKING.IN.TONGUES >
I probably would have pulled you out using water cuffs if it kept up.
<Bootyyyshaker9000>
... hahaha probably a good thing you didn't have to do that.
< SPEAKING.IN.TONGUES >
<Bootyyyshaker9000>
I see, I guess that's something I will consider.
< SPEAKING.IN.TONGUES >
don
don that's-]
You're deflecting again.
[yes he'll call him out now look what happened last time he didn't!]
<Bootyyyshaker9000>
Maybe he's a little masochistic. Maybe.]
I am not, I am considering your advice if this happens again.
< SPEAKING.IN.TONGUES >
I pay attention to that stuff.
If you don't see the point in setting a boundary, maybe think about what it would mean to others. If you said 'do anything', some people will get worried. If you set a limit though, then those people can have peace of mind.
Besides, it shouldn't take maiming to get you away from something like that.
<Bootyyyshaker9000>
It's not going to happen again, it's not like there is anything around here aside from the Cube that could probably hold my attention like that anyway.
< SPEAKING.IN.TONGUES >
[Well that's weird he cut off there.
ahem.]
That sounds like pushing your luck.
<Bootyyyshaker9000>
< SPEAKING.IN.TONGUES >
[He'd been about to say tempting fate actually, but then remembered he hates the idea of fate with a roiling passion.]
Is it really so bad, to be prepared even if nothing happens?
<Bootyyyshaker9000>
[Now you got him riled up, Emporio.]
I'm not saying that I don't want to be prepared, just I don't think a limit needs to be set considering we're all monsters here. The limit will probably be different depending on who is doing the thing anyway.
< SPEAKING.IN.TONGUES >
That was the point.
If you're telling people in advance, you can tell each one what you don't want them doing.
Not even just to avoid getting hurt- if something they might try could just make things worse, you can warn them off.
<Bootyyyshaker9000>
I'd deserve it.
< SPEAKING.IN.TONGUES >
All that aside I'm not even talking about pure pain.
Unless you want me to use cold water directly against your back to get you to leave something alone?
<Bootyyyshaker9000>
[He's not, if he was he wouldn't be apologizing.]
And sure, why not? If it works.
< SPEAKING.IN.TONGUES >
Emotionally dead means not feeling any emotion at all, you know.
And because for something to actually work it needs to be able to offer something better than whatever you retreated to- otherwise it's more likely to have the opposite effect.
[Speaking from experience at all here?? ...Anyway.]
Let's try looking at this another way.
Why do you think you end up sucked into things that hard in the first place?
<Bootyyyshaker9000>
I don't know why I do, I mean. I know why with the Cube, because it gave me something I don't have here.
< SPEAKING.IN.TONGUES >
It's something we can work from though isn't it?
At the very least we know that a similar draw could provide a risk.
<Bootyyyshaker9000>
Basically anything that could make me feel like myself again, I guess in this case...
< SPEAKING.IN.TONGUES >
[....]
I don't hate you by the way.
In case you thought I might.
<Bootyyyshaker9000>
[And he doubts there is another building like the Cube ever popping up again.
As to the rest though...]
You have every right to, though.
< SPEAKING.IN.TONGUES >
The more you say that the more it feels like you want me to. Or at least that you don't believe what I'm saying.
<Bootyyyshaker9000>
